A New Beginning

Hello All!
So, originally I made this blog to talk about anything and everything, but I decided since I haven't used this in in a very long time I would switch it up a bit! I'm going to make this more specific and make it strictly about beauty with spashles of fashion here and there. I've always been interested in fashion but recently I realized one of my biggest interests is beauty so I'm going to give it a go!
I am by no means a professional, I just love trying out make-up and discovering new or old products so I figured why not contribute by making a blog? I am really looking forward to posting and hearing what you all have to say!

Be Bold

Blackberry has come out with yet another amazing smartphone; the Blackberry Bold. Very similar in shape to the Blackberry curve, but with a sleeker, glossier design. The device comes equipt with Wi-Fi and GPS and still has a trackball just like the Curve and Pearl models. The only big difference I see in the phone is the camera being in the middle instead of the right side of the phone. The Bold hasn't hit stores yet and already we are seeing celebrities with this phone, take a look!

Taking Woodstock

Every music lover has heard of a little music festival called, Woodstock. For those of you who haven't it was a concert held in the summer of 1969 that attracted over 450, 000 people and was during the high point of the "peace and love" era. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and The Who were a few of the huge names to participate in this life changing event.

I am writing this to inform readers of a new movie that is set to come out in June 2009; it is called "Taking Woodstock." I only know a few details, but I do know that it is based off of Elliot Tiber's memoir. Tiber, played by Demetri Martin, is a man who offered up his neighbors farm to hold this enormous event during the summer of 69'. This movie will give us a behind-the-scenes look at how Woodstock came together back in those glorious years. Written by James Schamus and directed by Ang Lee, this movie is sure to be perfect for people who love that hippie lifestyle!

The Big Bang Theory

Recently I have noticed many models and celebrities sporting thick blunt bangs. To name a few, Irina Lazareanu, Keira Knightly, Camilla Belle, and Kate Moss. I think they look so modern and stylish when cut just above the eyelash and worn with long, stick straight hair. I find that blunt bangs look best on slimmer shaped faces, but that is not to say us square-shaped face girls can't pull them off. Just be sure to get them a little layered and maybe sweep them to the side a bit. This is sure to be a great winter look!

Four years ago Nicole Richie became a huge fashion inspiration to me. Her petite frame and hippie chic vibe really caught my attention. Her signature look is a pair of skinny jeans, huge sunglasses, a gorgeous bag, and always the best accessories. So I was more than delighted to learn that Nicole will be releasing her very own jewelry line named after her almost 1- year old daughter, Harlow. From the chunky African inspired ring to the coral colored cuff bracelets you are sure to get that "Nicole Richie" charm. You can get your hands on this jewelry in Novemeber at the new Kitson store on Melrose.
